How To Assemble

Starter Guide to Assembly

**COMING SOON: In Depth Assembly Guide and video series on what it means to Assemble, how to begin, how to use this vehicle to assert our authority, common law, and more. For now, here is an overview.**

**DISCLAIMER: This is MY understanding and recommendation, based on research and experience. There IS no ultimate authority, no tidy blueprint that you MUST follow, no magic solution to tyranny. YOU and YOUR NEIGHBORS must make the decisions together concerning how to build and operate this vehicle. If we are to claim Freedom, we must behave as Free People – which by its nature means nobody may dictate to us how we must do this, so long as we act with respect to the Liberty of one another.
Anybody who tells you that you MUST obey them or their vision for what it means to Assemble is either misguided or lying. NEVER disclose your personal information or that of members in your Assembly to ANYBODY outside of your local Assembly.

Structure – LOCAL and GROUND UP!

Assemblies, as with representative governments of free people, should build from the ground up, at the local level. No foreign (non-local) involvement. No umbrella authority over multiple areas. No top-down dictates, oversight, or management of any kind.

Township/Neighborhood/Local Community Assemblies (and government structure retained locally) are the backbone of Liberty. Keeping it local is critical to keeping corruption in check, and keeping globalists out.

Township/Local Assemblies choose members to represent them at County Assemblies.
County Assemblies choose members to represent them at State Assemblies.
State Assemblies choose members to represent them at the Federal/National/Union Assembly.

Every level beyond the Local Assembly is a voluntary union. Nobody outside your local level ever has authority to dictate to you, or operate any functions on your behalf without your consent – or Liberty is lost. Just as with government.

Get Started

Just start gathering with neighbors and those within your local community to build relationships, build community, discuss grievances. Keep it informal, casual, positive, and productive. Host at your own house, gather at the local tavern, or rent a church or town hall. It doesn’t matter. Just get together.

Conduct Meetings – KEEP IT SIMPLE!

Use simple Parliamentary Procedure to conduct meetings. I’ll share my favorite cheat sheet guides soon, but in the meantime, just search for “Parliamentary Procedure Cheat Sheet/Guide.”

Take notes. Keep to scheduled times. Always ensure a future meeting is scheduled. Stay on topic. Follow an agenda.

(Robert’s Rules was initially just the first publicized, written compilation of what was already standard practice in the Western world. Our founders ran their meetings in similar fashion. Robert’s Rules today has become overly complex, keeping everyday people alienated. KEEP IT SIMPLE!)

Officers

Choose a moderator, scribe, bailiff, and treasurer.

Making It Official

Assemblies are open to ALL members of your community – whether you like them or not. You do not get to deny your neighbors membership or participation. (That does not mean they may be disruptive and violate rules of conduct.) You and your Assembly will have to decide how to verify that attendees are actual residents of your community, and whether to allow guests from outside your community. ONLY members of your local assembly may vote.

There are groups out there claiming to have the magic formula for how to become official. Here is my take:
Assembling and Petitioning your government for Redress of Grievances is a natural right, an inalienable right. As such, it is untouchable, and immune to any regulation and dictate by any agency or body. That means nobody has the authority to tell you HOW you exercise your right – not government or any other self-proclaimed authority.
HOWEVER – We are obligated to exercise our Liberty with respect to the Liberty of others, not violating THEIR rights in the process.
We do not have the authority to speak on behalf of others, without their consent. Nobody does.
This means that you must make every reasonable effort to make every member of your community aware of the formation of the Assembly.
The world is run by those who participate. You MUST ensure all have the option to participate.

How do you notify your community? Some groups advocate publishing notice in the local paper multiple weeks in a row. This MAY be the most prudent, if you’re only looking to cover your bases and ease your conscience slightly. If we’re being honest, how many of your neighbors and local community members are likely to see a notice in the paper these days? We CAN do better than that. Unfortunately, this seems to me most likely to draw unwelcome attention of tyrants, more than encourage recruitment… particularly if you have not established substantial numbers yet.
Ultimately, the format and method is for you and your Assembly to decide.

MY SUGGESTIONS:
Maintain an ONGOING effort to recruit as many members of your community as possible.
As soon as feasible, draft fliers to hand-deliver to every house within your community.
Keep it low-tech – ie, don’t broadcast online. Word of mouth, face to face, neighbor to neighbor, as much as possible.
